You are the deep ache in my heart,
I keep you there, and pretend you are gone.
They say,
when one dives deep enough
into the darkest parts of the ocean,
the weight of the waters
keep you there.
But it happens,
with the cycles of the moon,
the ache rises with the tide,
and you find me,
diving into the waves to meet you,
pretending you would stay.
