the sun
shines through
the Venetian
blinds


he wakes up to a
tik-tilaok!
ready
for today's
cockfight

he rises
and breathes in
the fresh, crisp
exhaust.
cough

as he prepares
to battle
once again
the Undisputed Kings
of the Road
