soft hands

Someone took my hand once,
he kissed it, and held it
close to his chest, I counted
every breath--the rise and fall,
the rise and fall,
my hands were soft then,
small, dainty and cold,
a crisp, quiet winter evening
caught between his palms,
and I could not let go since.

the days

the days pass quick as quick and as silly as trying to catch rabbits popping out of rabbit holes we just love watching them come and go fuzz...
